HOTEL
1000
Hotel 1000 in Madison
Tower opened on
Monday, June 26, 2006 at 8:45 AM at 1000 First
Avenue, on the corner of First and Madison in the heart of Downtown
Seattle and just steps from the waterfront and Pioneer Square.
With 120 luxury rooms and 47 magnificent and spacious view
residences on the top floors, this is Seattle's leading hotel
and residential address. The hotel and residences are home
to BOKA, kitchen and bar, full service spa and fitness center, wine cellar
for the residents and BOKA, a dog walking park on the roof
(Barkpark),
over 6,000 square feet of high tech meeting and banquet space,
including an outdoor deck ideal for weddings and other social
functions. The Studio specializing in coffee, wines, and
finger foods is for sitting, savoring, and
socializing around the fire is also part of the food and beverage
offerings, along with 24 hour room service for residents and guest
alike. Perhaps the most unusual component of this new hotel is
the Country Club in the lower lobby for serious golfers, not
one but two interactive real golf experiences using
fullswing.com technology. A residents' library rounds out an extraordinary array
of luxury facilities and amenities, the likes of which Seattle has
never seen. Hotel 1000 is being developed with a
single-minded focus to be Seattle's finest luxury boutique hotel,
and very deserving of being in the elite family of MTM-managed
properties.

IVY
HOTEL
Originally built in 1914 to host dignitaries for the World Trade
Fair, the
Ivy Hotel recently re-opened as San Diego’s
finest hotel.
Located on the eastern edge of the historic and lively Gaslamp
Quarter, the hotel features 159 remarkable guest rooms, with
imaginative interiors and creative bathrooms, designed for form,
function and fun. Leading edge design by Dayna Lee and Ted Berner of the renown interior design firm PowerStrip Studio of
Hollywood differentiates this guestroom from any in San
Diego. Features include custom fixtures, flat panel
televisions, generously sized bathrooms with glass enclosed
showers and tubs. Interior spaces incorporate a tone of
contemporary, residential luxury. A yin and yang of modern and
classic elements influence the palettes, textures and
furnishings throughout the Ivy Hotel.
The Hotel features three distinctive venues in which to conduct
business, dine, drink and relax:
Envy-the
four level nightclub offers a sensual and energetic “South Beach” attitude and will immediately be the best Gaslamp entertainment destination for “scenesters” in search of
the ultimate adult playground.
The Quarter Kitchen-with
185 seats, and chef Damon Gordon, this street level restaurant
showcases true modern, regional cuisine with an accent on
rare gourmet products and a core menu of local and fresh
ingredients.
Eden Rooftop Bar & Pool-an
excellent venue featuring wraparound views of the San Diego
skyline to enjoy signature cocktails or a light meal under the
San Diego sun or star lit sky.
Meetings and Special Events
Ivy features 20,000 square feet of flexible and unique event
space.

THE
LIBERTY
HOTEL
The venerable and
formerly ominous old Charles Street Jail in Boston has been
transformed into
The Liberty
Hotel, a luxury hotel which opened in summer 2007. Located
next to Massachusetts General Hospital on Charles Street Circle
overlooking the Charles River and its Esplanade, the Charles Street
Jail originally opened for business in 1851. It closed in
1991, vacating its cells forever.
Dick Friedman,
developer and owner of the elegant and successful Charles Hotel in
Harvard Square, put together financing and a project team to
build a 275 room tower connecting to the jail building to create the 300
room luxury hotel, the likes of which this country has never seen.
Globally, the only comparable project is the Four Seasons Hotel in
Istanbul, which also began its useful life as a jail.
The dark granite
Charles Street Jail has been an architectural icon and one of
Boston's landmark structures for over a century and a half. In
its reincarnation as
The Liberty Hotel, it features spacious,
well-appointed guestrooms, four fixture baths, two gourmet
restaurants, ample banquets and meeting space, and state of the art
technology for business connectivity and entertainment.
Keeping true to its heritage, it will continue to be Boston's "most
captivating address". However, this time in a good way!
